"Kookaburra Sport first contacted Ares Italia in 2023, we had great interest in their fully electric E21.G Travelling Head Press. Kookaburra Sport uses presses to cut patterns from leather hides to make balls used in sport. We have hydraulic presses in our factory now and find these to be noisy, the older hydraulic machines especially need continual maintenance. Upon contacting Ares Italia we found our communications with Donato Castellaneta, the Area Export Manager were always friendly, honest and efficient. He was very quick in responding to our questions and sending information requested. His is good with emails, Whatsapp or phone calls. We decided to purchase the E21.G machine because it was fully electric, meaning there would be a big reduction in factory noise, the machine controls and programming capabilities would give us better flexibility and with no hydraulics there would be much less maintenance. With our electricity supply becoming renewable we will see energy and running cost savings and benefits for the environment. Donato was very clear in communicating when our machine would be made and when it would be sent to us, this all occurred on schedule. We have started using the machine in production trials and will move it to production soon. We are very satisfied and excited with the machine operation. It was very easy to set up and operate. It is very quiet, with the travelling head moving quickly to position. There are adjustments for the head position, cutting height and lateral head movements, and these can be stored in an electronic file. This will be handy because we use two different cutting knives. The machine controls are intuitive, and the ergonomics are very good. We are looking forward to seeing the progress of this fully electric machine in production, we think it will reduce operator fatigue and increase output. We are very satisfied with it.
